Roots that run deep
Darrell has lived his entire life in Grant County, and served four terms as Judge/Executive of Grant County and as the Executive Director for the statewide Council on Area Development Districts. He is a proud graduate of Grant County High School and NKU, married to Candy, the love of his life, for 45 years, and is a deacon at Mt. Olivet Christian Church. Judge Link was honored by his peers in 2010 to serve as President of County Judge/Executive Association for the entire state of Kentucky.
As the result of Darrell's leadership as Judge-Executive, all infrastructures in Grant County were rebuilt without a tax increase & waterlines were built in the entire county. He rebuilt the animal shelter in Grant County and it is now a model for the other counties to emulate.
Darrell has served on more than 10 boards as a director including KACo, NKADD, and was President of the Kentucky County Judge-Executive association in 2010. Currently, Darrell is the Executive Director of the Council on Area Development Districts and has served in that position since January 2015.
Darrell and Candy reside on their 100 acre family farm on Simpson Ridge in Williamstown, Ky. where they raise Angus Cattle, Cornish Rock chickens; Standard bred horses & Border Collies. Finally, Darrell & Candace are proud parents of two children, three grandchildren and one grandson who refers to Darrell as "Opa".
